Emily Huckson – Head TeacherHead Teacher Emily Huckson directs a talented and caring team of qualified teachers, many of whom have been with the school since its inception. Emily is Canadian and has taught children in Canada and Japan. She has worked in Vietnam for over 10 years. Emily holds a Bachelor of Education degree and an Elementary/Primary teaching certificate from Nipissing University in Ontario. She also has an Honours degree in Theatre from York University in Toronto. Emily is responsible for the running of Dynotots and teaches the Big Guys programme. Le Thi Anh Dao and Le Thi Hoai PhuongDao and Phuong graduated from the Teacher Training University in Ho Chi Minh City and they also each have a “Teaching English to Very Young Learners” Certificate from ECC in Thailand. In addition, they have completed the AEA First Aid Course and a Fire Safety Course through BP Exploration and Operations. Both Dao and Phuong teach the Little Guys program. Emily, Dao and Phuong have worked at Dynotots since its inception in 1995. Yen ToYen joined the team in August 2000. Yen is a graduate of the “Teaching English to Young Learners” program at CEC Communications College, has just received her Bachelors degree in English and has a TESOL certificate from Global TESOL Australia. Yen is responsible for planning and organising Parent & Toddler group activities and is a “jack of all trades” for both Little Guys and Big Guys. Yen also assists with the Big Guys ”long days”. Julie DemasuayJulie joined the team in January 2001. Julie has a Bachelor Degree in Special Education from West Visayas State University in the Philippines. She has worked at various kindergartens in Ho Chi Minh City since 1996. She has attended a number of seminars pertaining to Early Childhood Education. Julie teaches the Big Guys programme and is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Big Guys’ “long days”. Additional StaffTruc Dinh is the School Secretary. Truc is located in the Reception Office at the school and is responsible for school finances and administration. Trang is the Dynotots “house mother. Trang keeps the school clean, prepares a healthy snack for the children each day and often supports the teachers in their role. Mr Kim is the school handyman and helps keep our school and equipment in great shape. A part-time gardener attends to the grounds.
