A small group of parents hold voluntary positions on the Dynotots Management Board (known as the Parents Committee).

The Committee handles such issues as policy direction, teacher liaison, finances, registration and enrolments, wait lists for new applicants, maintenance and repairs, fundraising activities, coordination of donations to charities supported by the group, social events for parents, families and teachers, and information to parents.

Chairperson

  1. Leads the Board in the management and operation of Dynotots
  2. Liaises with teaching staff
  3. Negotiates annual contracts
  4. Liaises with BP
  5. Facilitates monthly committee meetings
  6. Monitors market competitors

Treasurer

  1. Issues invoices
  2. Oversees all finances including payments, receipts etc
  3. Prepares cashflows and budgets
  4. Reports monthly to the Board on the financial status of the school

Maintenance and Gardening

  1. Organises maintenance of building, garden and outdoor equipment
  2. Completes paperwork and oversees garden maintenance
  3. Organises mosquito spraying and termite control
  4. Ensures air conditioners and fire extinguishers are regularly serviced

Social Events Coordinators

  1. Organise and coordinate social events for the Dynotots community (children and their families)
  2. Liaise with the teachers, families and community on social events
  3. Organise and publicise the following annual events: Family Day; Parent Information Night; Christmas Party;
    Outdoor Education Weekend; School Photos, Congraduation

Fundraising Coordinator

  1. Develops fundraising ideas for the school and liaises with parents and the community seeking support for
    them.
  2. Markets and advertises the school within the community
  3. Organises and coordinates the following events: Car Boot Sale(s); Children's Movie Night(s) plus other
    school fundraising events.

Secretary

  1. Organised Board & Member meetings
  2. Prepares and circulates agendas
  3. Records minutes of meetings
  4. Maintains minutes file
  5. Prepares General Information Handbook at the start of each school year
  6. Prepares and updated internal policy and procedural handbooks

Enrolment Coordinator

  1. Liaises with potential students
  2. Distributes General Information Booklet, waitlist forms, student medical forms and registration forms to
    potential students
  3. Forwards registration & medical details to School Secretary
  4. Produces enrolment and waitlist information including student number projections
  5. Corresponds with new families and updates potential students on the waitlist status

Parent & Toddler Coordinator

  1. Welcomes new parents
  2. Shows prospective families around the facility
  3. Liaises between committee and parents
  4. Keeps Parent and Toddler (P&T) group informed of school events
  5. Arranges quarterly Father & Toddler sessions, extra P&T activities such as swimming in the paddling
    pool and a quarterly P&T lunch
  6. Discusses any significant issues with parents i.e. child’s behavioural problems and, if necessary, leads
    a group discussion regarding the agreed method of dealing with difficulties
  7. Advises Enrolment Coordinator of any P&T children leaving the school
  8. Checks and distributes P&T invoices
